DESCRIPTION:
Our offering of Vetiver oil is extracted from Vetiveriazizanoides of the Gramineae family. It has an earthy, musty smell and is obtained through the process of steam distillation. CONSTITUENTS:
benzoic acid, vetiverol, vetiverone, vitivene, cadinene, furfurol, a and b-vetivone, vetivene and vetivenylvetivenate. AROMATIC SUMMARY / NOTE / STRENGTH OF AROMA:
A base note with a strong aroma, has an earthy, woody scent characteristic of oils derived from roots, with a rich note that is popular in products designed for men. BLENDS WITH:
Benzoin, grapefruit, jasmine, lavender and ylang-ylang. COMMON NAMES:
KhusKhus and Vetivert. USES:
Vetiver oil is very effective in calming and soothing the mind. It helps to dispel anger, hysteria, irritability and neurotic behavior. It revitalizes the body and helps make up for mental and physical exhaustion; and is also helpful for general aches and pains, especially for rheumatism, arthritis and muscular pain.
